Indian School Dar es Salaam is a pioneering institution and the only school in Tanzania affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi, India. It has a history of more than four decades.
The school was set up to provide quality education to the children of Indian expatriates. It began as the Indian Study Circle, in a complex shared with another school, and grew into one of the most progressive and respected schools in Dar es Salaam. In 2004 it moved to its present campus, with its own multi-storey building and modern facilities.
Today the school is one of the premier institutions in Dar es Salaam and offers a congenial atmosphere for young people to learn and grow.
On 2 October 2026 a new library was inaugurated at the school (photographs).
